SF Ceramics
I am a ceramicist working in Cornwall, primarily on the wheel, under the name SF Ceramics. After completing a BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, I spent a number of years working in the world of food and prop styling for commercial productions. During this time I found myself increasingly drawn to the tactile nature and the potential utility of ceramics. I am fascinated by the intimacy of our relationships with everyday objects and this is something I continue to explore in my work. My aim is to produce objects for day-to-day living that combine a simple aesthetic with practicality and an appreciation of the natural world.
In October 2023 I embark on a new chapter, taking over the running and management of Brickworks at CAST in Helston, an open-access ceramics studio, with potter Bridie Maddocks.
